Rules of the Contest

1. The Audition is open from 9th April 2010 to 15th August 2010 for citizens (individuals) residing in India and upto the age limit of 28 years and under following categories:
   • Sub Junior (5-12 yrs)
   • Junior (12-18yrs)
   • Senior (18-28yrs)
2. To register for the above Audition, Participants are required to dial the defined no. 54321333 which is the official short-code for Audition to Spice Surtarang Contest and record song(s) in his/her voice without using any musical instrument. The Participants further understand and agree that time limit for song recording should be minimum of 90 Seconds and a maximum of 3 minutes.
3. The Participants also understands and agrees that for registration of the Audition, the Participants have to first subscribe/activate a Value Added Services (hereinafter referred to as “VAS”) Pack of Rs. 30/- being the charges through the following cellular operators -
   • Airtel (Airtel Radio)
   • Vodafone(Vodafone Music Junction)
   • Tata (Tata Music Station)
   • Idea (Idea Music Station)
4. Any attempt by a participant to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Audition and/or the Contest shall be subject to appropriate legal action and should such an attempt be made, Spice without prejudice to its rights under any law for the time being in force, also reserves the right to seek un-liquidated damages from the erring Participant. Recording of any objectionable/abusive entry during the mobile auditions phase shall be disqualified by Spice at its sole discretion.
5. Once a recorded entry has been submitted to the Judges and only after the same has been evaluated, the recorded entry(ies) may be deleted from the system and shall no longer be accessed and listened by the Participants. The Participants further understand and agree that a song/ voice once recorded into the system/server of Spice, becomes the proprietary and copy-right of Spice and it reserves the right to use the records for future purposes in any manner whatsoever it shall deem fit for promotional and / or commercial activity(ies) & the participants agrees to waive all rights in this regard.
6. The Participants of the Audition represents that they are amateurs and not professional singers. If at any time during the course of the contest, this representation is found to be false, Spice along with Sangam Kala Group ,reserves the right to cancel the entry and disqualify the concerned participant with immediate effect.
7. The Participants understand and agree that there would be a maximum of 2 attempts per individual under each category – Filmy as well as non filmy which would be allowed for submission under this Audition. Only one participant per mobile no. can participate in the Audition.
8. The Participants to the Audition under this offer understand and agree that the rating scale implemented by the judges will be between 0-9 where 0 being the lowest and 9 being the highest. The decision of the judges for audition shall be final, irrevocable and binding on participants. Spice reserves the exclusive right to the ratings given by the Judges and the same shall not be disclosed to the Participants in any manner whatsoever.
9. Spice reserves the right to terminate, modify or extend this Offer at any time at its absolute discretion, without prior notice to the participants.
